Terms of Service
Terms for using the BlockCarbon website and its resources.
Last updated: October 12, 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service apply to your use of the BlockCarbon website, including its forestry and agriculture solution descriptions, resources, and project inquiry tools. Please read them before using the website. If you do not agree with these terms, please stop using the website.
BlockCarbon was founded in 2022 by Alvin Tian. You can contact us about these terms at alvin@blockcarbon.earth.
2. Website information and services
The website introduces our work and provides general information about nature-based carbon projects. Its content is not a project-specific assessment, a certification, an offer to sell carbon credits, or legal, financial, or investment advice.
Contacting us or preparing an inquiry does not create a service contract, a purchase, a professional advisory relationship, or a commitment by either party. Any paid services, project deliverables, commercial terms, or carbon-credit transactions require a separate agreement. That agreement governs the services it covers.
3. Carbon project outcomes
Project eligibility, measurement results, sequestration estimates, carbon-credit issuance, and financial outcomes depend on the project, its data, field conditions, the selected methodology, applicable standards, and any required independent review. Website descriptions do not guarantee a particular outcome, credit quantity, issuance date, price, or return.
Landscape photographs are illustrative and do not identify actual BlockCarbon project locations. Before acting on website information, obtain the project-specific assessment and advice appropriate to your circumstances.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the website to learn about our solutions, review our resources, and make legitimate inquiries. You must not use it for unlawful activity, impersonate another person, submit information you are not authorized to share, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with the website’s security or availability.
If you provide information on behalf of an organization, you are responsible for having permission to do so and for accurately representing your role.
5. Contact form and email
The contact form prepares a project brief in your browser and opens your email app with a draft addressed to alvin@blockcarbon.earth. Completing the form or opening the draft does not automatically send an inquiry. You must review and send the message from your email app.
Copying and downloading the brief are available as alternatives. Email delivery depends on your email app and provider; the website does not confirm that a message was sent, received, or read. Avoid including passwords, payment information, or confidential project documents in an initial inquiry. Agree on an appropriate sharing method with us if further information is needed.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy page describes how the website handles information entered in the inquiry form, external links, and hosting-related technical information. Your email provider and other services you choose to use have their own privacy terms.
7. Content and intellectual property
Website text, branding, graphics, and other materials belong to BlockCarbon or their respective owners and are used subject to applicable rights and licenses. You may view the website and retain reasonable excerpts for personal or internal business reference, subject to applicable law and any third-party license terms.
Do not claim our branding or materials as your own, imply an affiliation or endorsement that does not exist, or reuse them beyond the permission granted by the relevant owner or applicable law. Third-party materials remain subject to their own licenses.
8. Third-party websites
The website links to external services, including LinkedIn and Crunchbase. Those services are operated independently and have their own terms, privacy practices, and access requirements. A link does not make their content part of our service or create a guarantee about their availability or accuracy.
9. Availability and limitations
We aim to keep website information useful and current, but content may change and the website may be interrupted, unavailable, or contain errors. Please contact us to confirm details relevant to a proposed project or engagement.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website and its general information are provided on an “as available” basis without a promise of uninterrupted access or suitability for a particular project. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Any separate service agreement may contain additional provisions applicable to that engagement.
10. Updates and questions
We may update these website terms as our website or services evolve. The date above identifies the latest version. Changes do not retroactively replace the terms of a separate signed service agreement.
For questions about these terms, corrections to website information, or permission to reuse materials, email alvin@blockcarbon.earth.
